Setting Up WorldPay

WorldPay offer online payment gateways to enable your business to accept all major payment methods and credit and debit cards online. 

Note: WorldPay cannot be used to take payments through Brightpearl back office.

1. Setting up WorldPay

1. Go to the WorldPay website and log in to the Production Merchant Interface.
2. On the Installations page make a note of the installation number for you account. If you have more than one installation you will need the one marked "Select - Junior" or similar.
3. Click on the spanner icon in the Integration Setup : PRODUCTION column.
4. Make the following entries:
   • Description & Customer description (for payment pages) - Set these accordingly for your business.
   • Store builder used - Other - please specify below
   • Store-builder: if other - please specify - Brightpearl Cart
   • Payment Response URL - <wpdisplay item=MC_callback>
   • Payment Response enabled? - ticked
   • Enable the Shopper Response - ticked
   • All other fields can be left with their default values. Save the chages and log out of WorldPay.

2. Setting up Brightpearl

1. Go to Setup > Other > Payment methods.
2. In the WorldPay section click the Set up Worldpay link.
3. In the pop-up window, mark the payment method as active and live.
4. Specify whether to activate preauth, read more about preauth.
5. Select the nominal code where revenue from WorldPay sales should go (best to create a "WorldPay sales" code in you Chart of Accounts.
6. Select the order status for new orders received.
7. Specify whether inventory should be automatically allocated to orders where possible.
8. Enter the installation ID number you noted earlier (Setting up WorldPay step 2).
9. Ensure that Use MD5 is set to No.
10. Click the Save settings button.

3. Testing WorldPay with Brightpearl

We recommend running a few test transactions so you can be sure that your Brightpearl system is correctly configured with WorldPay. All you need to do is run through the website checkout process making sure you select WorldPay as the payment method. As your system will be live we recommend test buying a low cost item. Once payment has been successfully made you will be automatically returned to the Order Success page on your website.
