Picking Lists

Picking lists are used to combine rows from multiple goods-out notes into a single list of items (with locations is activated) to help collection of the items from around the warehouse. These items will then usually be placed into a packing area where they will be sorted into each individual delivery using the goods-out notes.

Create a Picking List from Goods-out Notes

  1. Go to Sales > Goods-outs > Due to pick.
  2. From the Goods-out Note List tick the checkbox next the goods-out notes to pick.
  3. Click the Pick link.
  4. A new tab will open in your browser, displaying the consolidated picking list.
  5. Print this screen and then close the tab to return to the listing.
  6. Wait for the screen to finish loading. The items will be automatically marked as picked and the timestamp entered.

Each of the items is time stamped to indicate they have been picked and will no longer be displayed in the "due to pick" list. If some attempts to re-pick them a warning message will be displayed on the screen.

The picking list will be sorted by item location, then SKU, then item name, so you may find that the same item appears at different points in the list if you have some stored in multiple locations in the warehouse.

If you're using picking lists as part of your workflow, then you don't need to show the inventory location on your goods-out note document. You can turn off the display of the location on goods-out note at Setup > Sales > Sales Settings.
