Sales Analysis by Product or by Customer + more...
The Sales Analysis Report can be found at Reports > Sales by Customer or Product.
Use this report to answer questions such as:
- What is my best selling brand this month?
- What's my best selling product?
- Who's my best customer?
- Who's spent the most?
- Who's bought the most items?
- Who's placed the most orders?
- Which products have brought the most profit?

Report by:
- Product
- Product Type
- Brand
- Customer
- Channel
- Lead source
Filters:
Using the filters you can answer the above questions about more specific areas of your business. For example:
- Which products are selling best on eBay (channel)?
- What was the revenue generated by a particular marketing campaign (Lead source) in June?

Sales Charts
You can use the sales charts to find out how sales of items have been changing over a period of time.
In the example below:
- Search for the product (Bike helmet) in the products quick search box at the top of the screen, then click the chart icon to open a new window.
- Choose to layer by "product options" - which will show a chart for each of the sisters
- Choose to show quantity sold
- Choose a timeframe and date to
To show the extra charts (layers), tick the coloured bix underneath the chart.
Note that if you use the "Search" box, it will search for all items matching the text, in the SKU or the item name. This includes subcomponents of bundles, which may be hidden from view when you look at a sales order (depending on your settings).

Sales Detail Report (product quantities)
With this report you can choose to use a data map to define the columns. It shows one row in the report for every row on a sales order. If you want to extract your sales from Brightpearl to input into a shipping system, other reporting tools or any other system, this is the report to use. Find this report at Reports > Sales detail.
You can see in the screenshot below that there are 6 items from two sales displayed.
1. Set up a data map
This is where you define the columns. Create a new datamap at Setup > Data/Import > Import orders.
2. Filter
Use the other filters to narrow down the results as required. Also select your datamap if you want to customise the columns.
3. Export
Use the Export button to extract the displayed data into Excel.
