2018 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for all of us here at Brightpearl HQ. First, we were shortlisted for the National Technology Awards and now, we’ve won the award for ‘Venture-Backed Management Team of the Year’ in the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Awards.
Now in their tenth year, the BVCA Management Team Awards recognize and reward exceptional businesses across the UK that are backed by private equity and venture capital investors, and that are reaching new heights of both innovation and growth.
These awards are highly coveted, seeing some of the country’s best known companies such as Skyscanner and On The Beach snap up previous awards.
Within the ‘Venture-Backed Management Team of the Year’ category, the judges were looking for companies that have demonstrated a particular focus on bringing new and highly impactful innovations to market, while achieving strong revenue growth in parallel with that.
Over the past year, we’ve sought to bring merchants the ability to automate their back office when using our centralized business management software; particularly with the launch of our workflow automation tool last year.
This has been combined with tremendous growth of a 75% increase year-on-year, fueling a 154% increase in revenue in the past 12 months alone, ultimately establishing us as one of the most prominent tech firms in the region.
