Business Development Representative (Outbound)

About the role

We are looking for A players, top performers, the top 10% only. You know who you are. If you think you can prove that you have what it takes, then the successful candidates will be part of the next phase in Brightpearl’s history, responsible for growing our revenue through highly targeted outbound sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel Brightpearl’s Pipeline and Growth in the UK

  • Demonstrate unquestionable value consistently, through insights, knowledge, and industry trends

  • Collaborate with and leverage teammates to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities in regional areas

  • Utilise business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, and develop accounts

  • Outbound prospect to companies via calling, email, marketing campaigns, social media etc.

  • Work to have a variety of touches (Call, Email, Social, etc.) on all leads in your assigned territory every day and week

  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Brightpearl’s products

  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce

  • Exceed monthly/quarterly quotas for Opportunities Created

  • Conduct high-level qualification calls to executives in our target accounts.


  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills

  • A persistent self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements

  • Creative in your approach to stand out from the crowd

  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; a team player

  • Previous experience in Sales Development, Operations, Marketing and/or Sales

  • Knowledge of business process, roles, and organisational structure

  • Competitive personality with a desire to grow and win

  • Passionate about technology and business

  • Proficient in using Salesforce and LinkedIn

  • Cold-calling experience

  • 1-2 years work experience in a professional environment (internship/work study experience counts!)
