Founded at the beginning of 2007 by Janan Leo, Cocorose London started out at the trendy East End markets in London before organically growing into an award-winning, international brand, stocked in premium boutiques and department stores around the world.

Cocorose London chose Brightpearl to help them grow their business into a global retail brand and here, Cocorose London’s Director, Gareth Austin-Jones, speaks to us about why the company decided on Brightpearl as their business software of choice.
Gareth starts by saying: "Like many businesses at their conception, we were mainly working in Excel. After a very short time, this became incredibly time-consuming and it was very difficult to keep track of everything. Due to the increased growth of our business, we decided to look into alternative business software to help us with our stock control and invoicing.”
“After my previous experiences using business software, there was one thing for certain - I didn’t want to use Sage! The accounts are important, but we employ an accountant for that, so we needed a system that avoided a heavy accounts focus at its front-end. We wanted business software that was simple to setup, straightforward to use and could be accessed online.”
Being able to gain access anytime, anywhere is essential for Cocorose London. Gareth continues: "We manufacture in the Far East and the UK, and spend a large proportion of the year with suppliers in China or at exhibitions in Europe and America. If I’m traveling, I don’t want to have to carry my laptop around with me because our business software is sat on it. We need to be able to access our information wherever we are.”
"We looked at a number of different platforms including QuickBooks, Xero and NetSuite, but Brightpearl was the one we felt most comfortable with. It ‘ticked the boxes’ in terms of being able to handle the processes our company required, as well as being a web-based solution. The move to Brightpearl was pretty easy and we’ve all found it straightforward to use. Getting the products and invoices set up was simple and everything else that we’ve wanted to do, we have been able to learn ourselves. We’d definitely recommend Brightpearl as a system for other businesses to get onboard with," concludes Gareth.
"A comprehensive and customer-friendly system, Brightpearl lets us track our invoices, giving us complete visibility of who owes us money, where they are from and when we invoiced them. Previously, we were creating all these invoices manually in Excel, and now, it’s just the click of a few buttons and your invoice is done. We can send this information straight to our UK warehouse to be picked, and it even reminds us when the invoice is due. Using Brightpearl has saved us a huge amount of time and enables us to reduce human error," says Gareth.
"Brightpearl has really helped us to develop our business processes. Brightpearl gives us freedom as we can minimize the day-to-day admin associated with sales. As our business is growing, we want to expand our use of the software to find other ways that it could help our business. We are really happy with Brightpearl.”

The team will continue to work with their partners to grow their presence internationally, through key stockists and their own boutiques. They will also continue to work with key ambassadors to champion their lifestyle concept and highlight their loyal 'Cocorosers', while running additional strategic campaigns, such as their popular London Unfolded series.
