Multi-store (Shopify)

You can integrate multiple Shopify accounts with a single Brightpearl account in order to manage inventory and orders in one central location.

Each separate Shopify account which you use is integrated with Brightpearl as a separate sales channel, allowing you to set controls per store, as well as report on the sales separately.

Handling products & inventory levels - the importance of SKUs

Brightpearl will become your "master product list" handling all your inventory levels for all integrated Shopify accounts. You may have products which are listed on one Shopify store and not the other, or items which appear on both, but all of those products will need to be imported to Brightpearl so that they have a single product record on your "master list".

It is important to ensure that every product has a unique SKU and that same SKU is applied across all your accounts. All Brightpearl integrations rely heavily on matching products by SKU for inventory level syncing and allocating items to downloaded orders.

Products can be imported from all your Shopify accounts, but ensure your existing SKUs are the same across every system first.

When importing products each unique SKU will be imported only once. Therefore, it is important that each product SKU is standardized across your accounts before attempting to integrated multiple accounts to prevent duplicated product records in Brightpearl which have different SKUs.

Handling B2B & B2C

Having two completely separate Shopify accounts is a great way to simplify handling both B2B and B2C sales. Alternatively, Shopify offer solutions to separating your customer groups such as However, using only one Shopify account means a single sales channel in Brightpearl and you will therefore not be able to report on B2B and B2C sales separately.

Using multiple trading names & brands

Shopify does not support multiple views for different branding or trading names, so in this scenario you would need entirely separate Shopify stores. A single Brightpearl account, however, can handle multiple brands and company aliases.

Against each sales channel (one per store) you can specify which channel brand should be used. This means that company details, logos and even templates will automatically be applied to those orders without having to change any processes.
