1. News: Brexit becomes reality as the UK vote to leave the EU

Brexit. The topic that everyone is talking about as last week the UK voted to leave the European Union. June 2016 is certainly a month to remember as British history was made and will always be known as the month the UK decided to break-up with the EU.

2. Study: The state of omni-channel retail

What are the shopping habits of modern consumers? Our friends over at Bigcommerce conducted a study to find out about where, when, why and how Americans buy online. The results are in and they’re very interesting!

These statistics cover possibly everything you could think of when it comes to the demographics of US consumers. Our favourite results include that 43% of Americans shop while in bed, 80% of people are influenced by shipping cost and speed when making a decision to purchase online, and 40% of Americans can’t live without online shopping. 3. Infographic: Independent retailers use technology to turbo-boost sales

This infographic based on our survey results shows how independent retailers are using real-time technology to boost sales and save time. This Retail Times article shares how 84% of retailers viewed technology as essential to their growth.

The key findings show that retailers are improving order management with a 53% increase in orders, boosting revenue by 30% and improving efficiency by saving 57.5 days per year.
