BDR Manager

About the Role
This is an ideal role for someone that is looking to take their sales experience to the next level and mentor a team of new reps just starting their careers. This position will work closely with sales and marketing teams to generate net new leads and qualify incoming leads. In addition to developing and implementing an inside sales training program, you will be responsible for running day to day operations of the team, developing creative incentive plans, and motivating and mentoring the BDRs, while simultaneously building their skills and increasing their level of responsibility.
Your Day-to-Day
- Onboard and manage a team of Business Development Representatives with a focus on building inside sales skills including prospecting, lead qualification, objection handling and appointment setting.
- Deliver a training program to onboard new BDRs and assessments to indicate their progression.
- Update and manage the BDR playbooks to keep the consistency inside the company.
- Create ongoing product, sales, and business function training programs.
- Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff.
- Constantly provide feedback to BDRs to help them refine their sales pitches through call shadowing and reviews with the sales account executives team.
- Set sales targets for each BDR and use appropriate reporting to identify opportunities & improvements, in order to help reps hit their targets.
- Provide daily operations management of inbound, outbound and partner leads qualification to improve sales funnel efficiency .
- Work in conjunction with the Marketing team to build efficient account-based outbound strategy and targeted outbound campaigns to drive sales opportunities.
- Work with the BDRs to build and develop an ICP prospect database.
- Facilitate feedback loops across sales, pre-sales, marketing, partner and PS teams.
- Report to senior sales management and leadership team on pipeline and sales activity/program metrics.
- Motivate individuals to succeed through impassioned leadership, coaching, creative sales incentives, and broadcast of results.
- Responsible for BDRs career development. Take BDRs to the next level when they’re ready to take on more responsibilities.

- Strong background in inside sales and/or sales management required
- Intelligent, motivated and competitive with a “roll-up-the-sleeves” and “get the job done” attitude
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable)
