About the Role

We are looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our US team selling SaaS applications for online retailers/wholesalers. You are an integral part of the sales cycle. As a product expert, you will drive sales’ deals forward by providing prospects insight into Brightpearl’s functionality and help them understand what can be accomplished on our platform and the value Brightpearl delivers. You will also advise the Sales team with any technical advice they may need as they gather information throughout the sales cycle. You will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with our Professional Services team ensuring a smooth handover post sales and our Product team to help drive the roadmap. We are looking for someone who is authentically curious, loves learning about the latest industry trends, and is a team player.

Your Day-to-Day

This role is primarily focused on demonstrating the value of Brightpearl software in relation to prospects’ challenges and business objectives. Some of your regular responsibilities might include:

  • Clearly articulate the benefits of Brightpearl’s solutions and tailor product demos to all levels including functional employees up to “C” level executives;
  • Creatively develop solutions to unsolved and complex business problems with Brightpearl, it’s API, and integrated apps and partners;
  • Challenge prospects on their current operating model and build a compelling business case for Brightpearl;
  • Advise on sales and upsell opportunities and act as subject matter expert in prioritizing those sales opportunities;
  • Scope the overall solution required to meet customer needs looking out for any potential issues, and then produce and deliver a technical proposal to the prospect;
  • Provide input to the product roadmap based on market needs

About You

  • Operational, accounting, and/or sales engineering experience for a business management SaaS platform (ERP, Order management, Inventory Management, CRM, Accounting, Ecommerce, etc…);
  • Solid communicator that can take complex topics and articulate them in a clear, concise manner
  • High level of curiosity, high energy, self-motivated
  • Proven track record of successful quota achievement, increasing deal size and accelerating the buying process;
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following is desired but not required: Netsuite, Salesforce.com SAP, Oracle, JDA, Infor, MS Dynamics, Epicor, Sage or QuickBooks preferred but not necessary;
  • Previous ecommerce experience is preferred but not required (i.e. familiarity with Shopify, BigCommerce, Ebay, Amazon, etc…)
