Brightpearl CEO Shortlisted for ‘CEO of the Year’ Prize

Trophy

In another fantastic turn of events for Brightpearl, we’re pleased to announce that our CEO, Derek O’Carroll, has been shortlisted for the 2022 Management Today Business Awards, within the hotly anticipated ‘CEO of the Year’ category.

The prestigious awards recognise the organisations and individuals breaking new ground and achieving consistent excellence across any sector of British business, whether a dynamic start-up, a thriving family or private equity backed business, or one of Britain’s biggest firms.

In a hotly contested field, nominated CEOs include: Cas Paton, of OnBuy, David Clements of FUTURE Designs, and Eleanor Weaver from Luminance. This deservedly puts Derek in fantastic company, particularly within the technology industry.

Speaking on his nomination, Derek says:

“I’m delighted to be shortlisted for this award. At Brightpearl, we have continuously focused on driving the success of our retail operating system through a customer-centric approach and encouraging a strong team culture that our customers can depend on.

“With a single-minded focus on excellence, we’ve been able to grow our footprint, client base, and revenue. None of this would have been possible without the incredible team at Brightpearl, so this nomination is a testament to their hard work and brilliance.”

Nick Shaw, CRO at Brightpearl, added:

“Since Derek became CEO of Brightpearl back in 2016, his drive, vision and leadership has seen Brightpearl go from strength to strength. We’re now a major player in the retail technology category, and backed by Sage.

“Under his stewardship, Brightpearl has now grown to 3,000 customers worldwide who process more than $5 billion dollars of orders with Brightpearl each year.

“And with Derek at the helm, the company continues to grow at an exceptional rate, and deliver on Brightpearl’s key promise which is to help retailers to Grow Fearlessly.”

The Management Today winners will be announced at a glittering  ceremony, due to take place on the 28th April at the iconic Quaglinos in London.

Good Luck Derek!
